an alliance of progressive Filipino groups
in the U.S. representing organizations of
students, scholars, women, workers,
and youth. BAYAN-USA serves
as an information bureau for the
national democratic movement of the
Philippines and as a campaign center for
anti-imperialist Filipinos in the U.S.
Justice for All Victims of Human Rights Violations
Portland Committee on Human Rights in the Philippines (PCHRP) is an organizing committee of Filipinos and allies working in solidarity to advance the national democratic movement of the Philippines in the U.S. PCHRP serves as an outlet for local, national, and international action alerts, media updates, and general information related to human rights violations against Filipinos in the Philippines and U.S.
We are launching our new education campaign "Makibaka! Justice Now!" Social Change Theater Project, made possible through a grant from the McKenzie River Gathering Foundation.
The small grant will fund Makibaka! Justice Now! (MJN), a six month Filipino leadership development program, and social change theater project featuring anti-oppression workshop series, and interactive theater performances in the local area. MJN is committed to raising awareness of human rights violations and conditions of Filipinos in Portland, the US, and the Philippines.
